On November 28, 2024, it took place National Banking Law Forum, November 2024, organized by Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest and Universul Juridic Publishing House, with the support of Romanian Banking Association, the Association of Legal Advisors in the Financial-Banking System, the AEDBF Romania and the Center for Business Law within the Faculty of Law, West University of Timișoara.

The event brought together prominent figures from the legal field, who made essential contributions to understanding current trends and challenges in banking law.

Lucian Bercea, Dean of the Faculty of Law – West University of Timișoara and Vice President of AEDBF Romania, played a central role as scientific Coordinator Through its academic vision and rigorous analysis of the challenges in the field, it provided participants with clear and valuable guidance on recent legal developments.

Also Dragoș Mihail Mănescu, Vice-Dean of the ASE Faculty of Law and Secretary General of AEDBF Romania, together with Adelina Elena Bădescu (formerly Stan), associate teaching staff at LawASE and member of AEDBF Romania, brought to the public’s attention the topic „Blockchain and Banking: From FIAT to AI”, connecting theory with legal practice and opening perspectives on new technologies.

The forum has once again demonstrated that academic dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration They are essential for the development of banking law. We thank all the organizers and partners for their joint effort in creating a landmark event for the Romanian legal community.
