General Assembly of Members

European Association of Banking and Financial Law – Romania

General Assembly of Members

The General Assembly of Members constitutes the supreme governing body of AEDBF Romania and has a decision-making role in all essential aspects of the association's functioning.

By bringing together all members, the General Assembly meets at least once a year, in physical, hybrid, or online format, thereby ensuring broad and representative participation of the community. Its responsibilities include: electing and dismissing the Board of Directors and the Auditor, approving the budget and annual report, defining the overall development strategy, and validating the activity program for the following year.

By exercising their right to vote, the members of the General Assembly decide on the major directions for the development of AEDBF Romania, on any potential amendments to the statutes, on the establishment of branches, or, in exceptional cases, on the dissolution of the association.

The General Assembly also embodies AEDBF Romania’s democratic and participatory values – a forum where every member matters, and decisions are made through shared responsibility.
