Last week, the representatives of AEDBF \u2013 Romania, Lucian Bercea, Constantin Br\u00e2nzan, and Drago\u0219 M\u0103nescu, participated in the extraordinary meeting of AEDBF \u2013 Europe, held in Rome, together with members of the Board of Directors, the Scientific Committee, and the national chapters from across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on a central strategic objective: defining the future direction and priorities of AEDBF for the next decade. The discussions were structured around key themes, such as organizational development, international expansion, member engagement, governance, and communication, within dedicated working groups tasked with formulating concrete outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scientific program took place at the headquarters of UNIDROIT, in the context of the institution\u2019s centenary (1926\u20132026), at the Constitutional Court of Italy, and at the Presidential Palace of Italy, the Quirinal Palace. Remarkably, the discussions were held in the very hall where the Treaty of Rome was signed in 1957\u2014an exceptional setting that highlighted the continuity between the origins of European integration and current reflections on the future of banking and financial law. Holding the debates in these venues gave the exchange of ideas a distinct institutional depth, linking contemporary regulatory discussions with the constitutional and political traditions that shape European legal systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For AEDBF \u2013 Romania, this participation reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to the European dialogue on banking and financial law, and to supporting the development of coherent, forward-looking regulatory frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We thank the organizers for a remarkable event and look forward with great interest to the next stages, as these discussions take shape and turn into concrete initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
